The automaker filed for Chapter 11 on April 30 and May was one of the longest months in the company’s history said Steven Landry head of sales marketing and service. All plants have been closed since the filing but inventory is down to an 86-day supply and the majority of plants are expected to resume car-building the last week of June Landry said. The start-up date for each plant will be based on supply and demand. Some cars are getting low Landry said in a call with reporters Tuesday. The inventory of the 789 dealers whose franchise agreements will be terminated June 9 should be redistributed by the end of the week Landry said.
